About Us

CrystalStream Technologies acts for clean water quality

Practical Best Management of Georgia holds the patents to the CrystalStreamTM Technologies Water Quality Device. The parent company has determined the business plan and mission for each geographical area served. That plan requires that we have an employee in each area, completely dedicated to our business, and our business alone. Our people do not distribute other devices, pipe, concrete products, or related materials. They concentrate on the business at hand, which is providing the right CrystalStreamTM device for each site. Their job is to meet with municipal officials, engineers, contractors, and end users in their area to be sure that all the steps necessary to place one of our units in the ground are completed. We don't offer a brochure where pre-designed units are listed that you can pick from to order from our staff. Look for them to sit down with you and spend some time finding out exactly what you need. They will interface with local officials and an engineer or other design professional to find out what size and type of unit to propose on working drawings. Even if two different sites have the same run-off flows, they may have very different pollutants washing off. They may also be in very different watershed basins, thousands of miles apart. "One size fits all" is not our policy. Once a design is approved and permitted, our people will work with the contractor to be sure that ordering, delivery, installation, and all follow-up goes smoothly. Finally, they will work with the site owner to establish a working relationship for ongoing operation and maintenance of our device. Does this sound different from other BMP manufacturers? With CrystalStreamTM Technologies, you don't just get our device, you get our people.

Three Components for Success

Design, Installation, and Maintenance: each of these elements is essential to success with a BMP. Together they make up our business plan.

Design

CrystalStream Technologies designs best management practices for every site

We do not think "one size fits all" works very well in the BMP business. All one acre sites are not the same. Based on the amount of impervious coverage, the flows will be different. Based on the pipe system design, the velocities will be different. Those two things are perhaps the most important factors for a structural BMP, but there is much more. What are the pollutants likely to wash off this one acre site, based on natural existing conditions and the proposed usage? What are the receiving waters and the overall watershed like? These principles, along with differing local regulations, lead us to believe that we must design on a site-by-site basis. We do not have a list of "one size fits all" models.

Installation

CrystalStream Technologies installs best management practices

We know most people do not routinely install structural BMPs, so they do not have the knowledge or equipment to assemble and install these products. We have a representative who works only for us, who will help prepare each site and who will assist the contractor and our truck/crane operator at every installation. This will help ensure a device that works as designed.

Maintenance

Maintenance crews clean CrystalStream devices

We stay with our customers after the sale. We offer economical cleaning and maintenance and guarantee our prices to our customer. With our device, each customer has a manufacturer's representative he can call for any problem that may occur, from a fuel spill in his parking lot to a routine city inspection. We service what we sell.
